On February 22, 2025, the Utah Valley Wolverines secured a hard-fought 61–55 victory over the Seattle University Redhawks at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah. This win marked Utah Valley’s fifth consecutive win, bolstering their impressive 20–7 overall record and first place (12–1) standing in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play.

Leading the charge for the Wolverines was sophomore forward Osiris Grady, who delivered a standout performance with 17 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, and a flawless 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Guard Tanner Toolson contributed 13 points and seven rebounds, while forward Carter Welling added 11 points and eight boards. The team’s balanced scoring and tenacious defense were pivotal in overcoming the Redhawks.

Seattle U, despite a strong first half leading 30–26, struggled offensively in the second half, shooting only 34.8% from the field and 25% from three-point range. Paris Dawson led the Redhawks with 18 points off the bench, but the team couldn’t withstand Utah Valley’s second-half surge.

This victory was instrumental in Utah Valley’s pursuit of the WAC regular-season title, showcasing their resilience and depth as they continued their winning streak.

Looking ahead, the Wolverines are poised to take control in the upcoming Western Athletic Conference tournament in Las Vegas.
