Fremont Silverwolves

2024 overall and region record (13-7) (8-2)

Head coach: Liz Bennett

The Fremont Silverwolves, Region 1 co-champions last year, are gearing up for the 2025 season under new head coach Liz Bennett. With the opening of West Field High School, the team faces the exciting challenge of integrating new talent while upholding their winning legacy.

The Silverwolves finished the 2024 season ranked fifth in the MaxPreps 6A final rankings, thanks to a strong showing in the state tournament. Winning Region 1 in two of the past three seasons, the Silverwolves will again have talented players ready to compete for another title.

Savannah Palmatier

One player who is ready for the challenge of a new season is Savannah Palmatier. Palmatier is the reigning Region 1 MVP, a four-year starter, and looking to keep the Silverwolves on track to repeat as region champions. Palmatier, a first-team all-state selection last season, led the region with a .588 batting average. Palmatier will showcase her athleticism as a cather, middle infielder, and in the outfield for the Silverwolves. One of the state’s premier players, Palmatier, has committed to play at Salt Lake Community College after high school.

The Silverwolves return first baseman, Jessica Broadbent, a Treasure Valley Community College commit, who batted .397 with 25 hits in 2024 and has five career home runs. Seniors Aly Tobias and Saige Steele and juniors Brooklyn Himelright and Adee Johnsen are experienced players ready to help the Silverwolves defend their region title.

Tobias led the team last season with 21 walks and a .471 on-base percentage. Tobias’ best outing was a 2-3 game with three runs scored and a home run against the Weber Warriors, won by the Silverwolves 13-3. Johnsen and Steele will provide the Silverwolves with experience in the circle. Steele finished last season with a 2-1 record and a 3.15 earned run average.

Himelright is a great leader behind the plate, and her ability to block pitches, quickness, and communication will be essential for the Silverwolves this season. The Silverwolves are excited about the mix of new talent and experienced players ready to compete for another region championship.
