Northridge Knights
2024 overall and region record (5-17) (4-10)
Head coach: Casey Kap
The Northridge Knights return a loaded team ready to challenge for the Region 5 title. The Knights will retain a bulk of their key contributors at the plate from last season. Senior Kaydence Chournos was the leading hitter for the Knights in 2024 and garnered Standard-Examiner All-Area Third-Team honors after batting .432, hitting three home runs, and playing steady at third base. Chournos, a Treasure Valley Community College commit has eight career home runs and is ready to lead the Knights to a breakout season.

Senior first baseman Jayden Anderson led the Knights with a .509 batting average while driving in 20 runs. Junior Aubrey Solomon was the ace of the Knights’ pitching staff last season after posting all five of the Knights’ wins and 79 strikeouts.
Sophomore Berklee Larsen captured Standard-Examiner Honorable Mention honors as a freshman by hitting for a .400 batting average and scoring 17 runs. MaKaybree Nay is another sophomore who saw extensive playing time for the Knights as a freshman. Nay batted .327 with 13 runs batted in last season.
Junior Kaylee Shirreffs will be another hitter the Knights will look to in their lineup. Shirreffs had a breakout game against the Roy Royals last year, going 3-5 with a home run, four runs batted in, and a double in the Knights 15-11 win.
The Knights are geared up for an exceptional year, and everything points toward an end-of-season winning record.
