Head coach: Miranda Hernandez
Bonneville Lakers welcome new Head coach Miranda Hernandez to a team that will replace many starters from last season. The good news is they are bringing back a promising, young, talented team ready for their chance to shine.
Senior Kaylee McAfee returns as the leader and player with the most experience for the Lakers, with 52 games played. McAfee had an outstanding junior season, garnering First-Team All-Region and Standard-Examiner All-Area Third-Team honors. She batted .429 with 36 hits and used her athleticism in the field to become one of the state’s best shortstops. After high school, McAfee is committed to continuing her education and playing softball at Snow College. McAfee’s work ethic is top-notch, and she is a leader on and off the field.

Junior Ellee Summers is a talented, hard-working multi-sport athlete who puts all-out effort into every play. Summers can play all the positions and gives coach Hernandez a player ready to step up in big moments. Last year, Summers batted .397 and scored 20 runs for the Lakers and is looking to make more of an impact this season.
Senior Peyton Johnson returns as the most experienced pitcher for the Lakers after posting 17 strikeouts last season.
The Lakers will have many new faces and players ready to showcase their talents. After scoring a region-leading 10.3 runs per game over the entire season, the Lakers will look to string together runs using their speed and athleticism.
