In a clash of former Region 1 rivals, the Fremont Silverwolves survived a dramatic Davis comeback to earn a 53–49 home victory. Junior Brynn Wadman led Fremont with 16 points, including clutch free throws in the final seconds to secure the win.
The Silverwolves controlled much of the game, building a 43–28 lead heading into the fourth quarter. But Davis refused to go quietly, storming back with relentless defensive pressure and a 16–0 run that nearly stunned the home crowd.

Early control by Fremont
The Silverwolves set the tone early, edging ahead 11–6 in a foul‑filled first quarter. Olivia Surrage paced Fremont with five points, while Hannah Garlock matched her for Davis. Fremont broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Darts 19–10 and taking a 30–16 halftime lead.
Wadman capped the half with a buzzer‑beating turnaround jumper, while Surrage and Garlock each tallied nine points before the break.
Abby Christensen fueled Fremont’s third‑quarter surge with seven points, helping extend the lead to 43–28. At that point, the Silverwolves looked poised to cruise until the Darts’ late rally turned the finish into a thriller.

Darts’ defensive surge sparks road rally
Down 18 points with five minutes to play, the Darts showed remarkable grit on the road. Their full‑court press forced turnover after turnover, and suddenly the Silverwolves’ comfortable lead evaporated. Garlock’s steal and layup cut the deficit to just two points with 11 seconds left, capping a furious rally.
Kate Willard spearheaded the charge with eight points and multiple steals in the quarter, while Lydia Tarbet added seven points to fuel the surge. The Darts’ bench roared with belief as Davis clawed back, proving they would not back down against a rival in hostile territory.
Ultimately, Fremont’s composure at the free‑throw line made the difference. Wadman and Mia Smith knocked down late foul shots to halt the rally and preserve the Silverwolves’ victory.
