An NFL team in Utah

While there aren’t any current plans for an NFL team in Utah, it’s fun to speculate. It’s a pipe dream since many members of the dominant Mormon faith wouldn’t attend games on Sunday. The previous AFL team called the Utah Blaze even left in 2013 so football fans here are consigned to high school and college teams. Here is how things would play out if an NFL team was created here:

Name of Team: Utah Mountaineers

Colors: Powder blue and gold

Nickname: Sack Lake City

Mascot: Wild Bill

Stadium name: Vivint Smart Home Stadium

Stadium capacity: 65000

Location of Stadium: Salt Lake City

quarterback: current Louisville Heisman candidate Lamar Jackson

Star player: Seahawks defensive MIdlle Linebacker Bobby Wagner returns to his college State to wreak havoc on opposing offenses

Coach: Steve Young

Division: AFC West

Rival: Las Vegas Raiders

Biggest achievement: AFC champions and super bowl appearance
