Game ball goes to: Yoeli Childs
BYU ended their regular season on a 9 game win streak. Pepperdine was their latest victim and BYU didn’t waste anytime dispatching their opponent. The Cougars took advantage of another poor defensive team and easily won 81-64.
While Jake Toolson made all three of his three-point attempts en route to 11 points, it was the Yoeli Childs show. He had 38 points, 14 boards and 1 steal. Nobody else really scored a lot as Zac Seljaas was the only other Cougar to score in double digits.
Yoeli has been playing magnificently of late and it’s because of him that the Cougars don’t lose close games like they somewhat did the first of the season.
Look for BYU to make some noise in the WCC Conference Tournament. Two weeks from now they will remember the Sabbath Selection Sunday to keep it Yoeli.
