Awards:
2x Heisman Trophy Finalist
1984 National Champion
Why vote for him?
Robbie was another great BYU quarterback from the 1980s and he has something that no other quarterback in this region has: a National Championship. He finished the 1984 season with a win over Michigan in the Holiday Bowl to be voted the #1 team in the Top 25 poll. Back then there wasn’t a national Championship game but BYU earned it by being the only team to finish with an undefeated record.
Vote for Robbie if you are a fan of one of a quarterback who found ways outside the box score to help his team win close games.
10 Kyle Van Noy
College Career Stats:
226 Tackles, 61.5 tackles for loss, 25 Sacks, 7 INT, 5 TDs
Awards:
Phil Steele All-Independent First Team (2011)
Third-Team All-American (2012)
All Independent DPOY (2013)
Why vote for him?
Kyle helped BYU have several winning seasons and was a member of several nationally elite defenses. In 2012 he led the defense to a 6-3 victory over another Top 25 defense in Utah State. He led BYU through some rough offensive patches where injuries led to a quarterback carousel.
Vote for KVN if you are a fan of the defensive anchor that led BYU to multiple winning seasons.
Seriously?! Why have two cougars against each other?! Haha. Well I love both of them, but for now my vote is with Steve Young. But I still love me some Kyle Van Knoy who already has two rings and went to three straight super bowls.
