Why vote for him?

 He is one of the reasons the Jazz didn’t take too much of a dip when Stockton and Malone left. Vote for AK-47 if you’re a fan of the guy who helped the Jazz go 41-41 right after Stockton retired and Malone has already left with the Lakers.

14 Mehmet “Memo, MONEY!” Okur;

NBA Per Game Stats: 13.5 points, 7 rebounds, 1.7 assists

NBA Career Totals: 8561 points, 1089 assists, 4436 rebounds, 37.5% 3 PT

Awards:

NBA Champion (2004)

NBA All-Star (2007)

Why vote for him?

Mehmet Okur was a big shot maker on the start of the Jazz resurgence in the Post Malone era. No we aren’t talking about the singer that released a platinum album last year. In the post Karl Malone era, the new post player was a stretch four that could hit threes. Enter Mehmet Okur.

He made an All-Star game in 2007 which was the last year that the Jazz made the Western Conference Finals. He had some of his best statistical years with the Jazz. Vote for Okur if you are a fan of a stretch four that, while not the most athletic, is a competent three point shooter that can stretch the floor. Back then shooters like that were a commodity. Today it’s almost a necessity to be a championship team.

If you love hearing Craig Bolerjack yell “Memo, MONEY!” on the TV broadcast, Okur is your guy for the upset.
