Real Salt Lake suffered a 4-0 away loss at the hands of Minnesota United Sunday night.
by Jose Vidales | Real Salt Lake had themselves a night to forget after letting Minnesota United score four second-half goals. RSL went into the game hoping to keep the momentum going after being unbeaten in their last three games but failed to do so.
The game saw its first goal of the night as Minnesota United’s Chase Gasper hit the back of the net in the 53rd minute. Robin Lod soon doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 62nd minute. Minnesota’s Jacori Hayes also managed to get on the scoreboard in the 75th minute before Lod scored his second of the match in the 90th minute and completed his brace.
This loss dropped RSL to eighth place in the Western Conference standings, while Minnesota United jumped to third place.
Real Salt Lake’s next match will be at home against the fourth place Los Angeles Football Club on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Minnesota will host FC Dallas earlier that evening.
