CEDAR CITY, Utah — Utah Valley will make the 210-mile trip down Interstate 15 on Wednesday for a crucial in-state showdown. Southern Utah has already defeated one of its in-state WAC brethren. Now, they will look to go 2-0 against in-state conference opponents on the season. The Thunderbirds are currently the only undefeated team in conference play in the WAC. This will be the first of a two-game homestand this week that continues with a visit from Sam Houston State on Saturday.

Last Time Out

SUU’s trip to Emerald City could not have gone better. The Thunderbirds beat Seattle University 67-52 and the win put SUU at .500 on the season. They can have a winning record for the first time since starting 2-0 with a win Wednesday night. Three Thunderbirds had at least 20 points in that game. Cherita Daugherty led the way with 21. Daylani Ballena and Megan Jensen had 20 apiece. Lizzy Willamson had 12 while the rest of the team only had 2 points.

Post Play Shines
