Hunter Hansen takes over in the second quarter
The second quarter saw the Silverwolves explode for a 21-7 run behind Hansen’s two three-point baskets and six points from senior forward Christian Blanch. “We were being super unselfish and sharing the ball,” said Hansen about the first-half performance. “Just being excited for each other.” The second quarter saw five Fremont players score, Blanch, Hansen, Calvert, Boston Hadley, and Braden Flinders. Hansen, a Utah State University commit, drained an incredible three-pointer at the buzzer to end the second quarter.

Hansen scored six points in the quarter to lead the Silverwolves. Junior Caleb Taylor led the Darts with two three-pointers and six points. By the end of the third quarter, Fremont had a 47-29 lead.

Fisher and senior Coleman Atwater led the Darts in scoring with seven points each in the fourth quarter. The game ended with a 67-45 score, and the Silverwolves celebrated being the 2023 Region 1 Champion.
Hansen scored 19 points for the Silverwolves, followed by 15 points from Hadley. Calvert ended the game with 13 points. The Silverwolves will now look towards the state playoffs and a high seed from the MaxPreps RPI. “We are not done yet,” said Hansen. “We are ready for state now.” “We are excited about the playoffs now,” said Hansen. ” Hoping that we get to Weber State.”
The Darts were led in scoring by Fisher’s 10 points, and Atwater and Taylor chipped in nine points each.
