The Utah Jazz (12-18) returns from the holidays to take on the San Antonio Spurs (4-24) to continue their five-game road trip.

What to Look For

This game is a tale of two cities. San Antonio is currently on a four-game losing streak after having an 18-game losing streak just prior to their win against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 15. Utah on the other hand has won five of their last seven games with injuries to core guys such as Jordan Clarkson, Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen during this streak.

Even with San Antonio losing a majority of their game this season, a bright point of their team has been Devin Vassell. Before San Antonio’s previous game, Vassell had 16 straight games where he scored double figures. With shooting splits of 45.7/35.6/81.2, Vassell may not look like the largest threat on the court, but if you give him the opportunity, he will capitalize.

Key of the Game

Paint presence. With Utah having an injury-free report going into this matchup and San Antonio having injuries to a majority of their big men, Utah will need to assert their dominance early. Now with a healthy roster, expect to see Walker Kessler and even John Collins try and take command in the paint.

Injury Report

San Antonio – Charles Bassey (ACL) Out

Utah – Josh Christopher (G League) Out, Johnny Juzang (G League) Out, Micah Potter (G League) Out

Where to Watch
