No Rodney? No problem. Rodney Hood made a game winning three when the Jazz last played the Mavs in Salt Lake City. The Hood got a right knee bone bruise in a recent game against the Toronto Raptors, but it’s hard for the Jazz to lose when Gobert and Hayward combine for 53 points.
This was another close game over a not so good Mavericks team. Dallas was a Western Conference cellar dweller the last time they lost a heartbreaker to the Jazz. They have since been a .500 ball club in January as they have won four and lost four games before their chilly loss tonight.
While the movie stars were getting their Uber rides to the Sun Dance film festival, all-star candidates Rudy Gobert and Gordon Hayward were busy building their resumes for the All-Star game. The Western Conference reserves will be announced next Thursday.
The Jazz got 8 steals so that’s another easy free six piece chicken nuggets fans can get at McDonald’s tomorrow.
There was a flash of Air Gobert tonight in the worst way possible. Rudy air balled a free throw but that’s no big deal if that was the biggest hiccup in his jersey number matching 27 point Night.
The Jazz may need game winners and overtime to beat cellar dweller teams like the Mavs and Suns, but they defeated the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers and look poised to get a home court playoff series since the Los Angeles Clippers just ahead of them just received a blow with a serious injury to star point guard Chris Paul.
It’s a Jazz world. Take note NBA!
