The Utah Jazz have been impressive these past few games. They are currently on an eight game winning-streak. Clearly the Jazz are the hottest team in the NBA and they are the team to beat at the moment. This is great news for Jazz fans as this is shaping up to be a promising year for a team that has all-around talent. The Jazz are at the top three of the Western Conference standings and are competing with both Los Angeles teams for the top spot.
Amazing Run
Following a 4-4 start, the Jazz are currently on an eight winning game streak. Indeed this is very impressive and they are grabbing the attention of the whole nation. They are lethal from behind the three-point line as they are averaging 16.8 made threes per game. They are shooting 40 percent from three. They are being led by Donovan Mitchell who is averaging 24.3 points per game thus far. The Jazz won seven of the eight games by double-digits. The only game that was a close win came against the Nuggets when they won by four points.
Wins over Quality Opponents
In this eight-game winning stretch, the Jazz have beaten some great teams. Those teams include the Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, and Golden State Warriors. Along with beating these teams, they have defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons. They have clearly dominated each game. The Jazz are red hot and just seem unstoppable at the moment.
Jordan Clarkson Is Stepping Up
The bench is being led by Jordan Clarkson who is on pace for Sixth Man of the Year. He is averaging 17.7 points per game on 48.5 percent shooting. He is undoubtedly having a great impact on the team as he is helping the Jazz when key starters are resting. He is clearly happy with the contract deal he got back in November. That deal was signed for four years and is worth $52 Million. The money has been well spent as he is a great asset to the team and it looks like he will keep playing great basketball.
Upcoming Matches This Week
The Jazz will play against the New York Knicks on Tuesday at home. Next, they will play against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday and Friday night as well. Both games against Dallas will be at home. Lastly, on Sunday the Jazz will be back on the road when they face off the Denver Nuggets in the afternoon.
Promising Season
Unquestionably this is looking like a promising season for the Utah Jazz. They are currently third in the Western Conference with a record of 12 wins and four losses. They are a healthy team so far and hopefully that remains the case for the rest of the season. Rudy Gobert is playing great basketball at both ends as well as the other starters. The bench unit is playing some solid basketball and they are contributing to the team.
All things considered, the Jazz have started the season well but they must keep the streak going. It is too early to get comfortable and they must keep playing well as the season progresses. They have the talent to do so and must take it one game at a time. Jazz fans, this is looking to be a great season and in short, they are shaping up to be one of the title contenders if they keep playing like this throughout the season.
