Will Hardy Becomes New Jazz Head Coach

Will Hardy Becomes New Jazz Head Coach

After weeks of searching, the Jazz have secured former Boston assistant coach Will Hardy as the new head coach in Utah. Hardy has agreed to a five-year deal with the team, according to ESPN sources, and was one of 15 candidates to replace former head coach Quin Snyder.

Hardy is 34 years old, making him the youngest active head coach in their league. He spent one season coaching under Celtic’s Ime Udoka, helping the team make it to this year’s NBA Finals against Golden State. He also served as the head coach of the San Antonio Summer League team for four years prior.

In the 2020 Summer Olympics, Hardy was a member of Team USA’s basketball staff and helped them win a gold victory over France.

With Hardy’s history of winning and tools for what it takes to get to the top, he seems to be just what the Jazz ownership was looking for to step in and develop Utah into a winning team.
