All-Around Performance Helps Flippin’ Birds Roll Aggies

CEDAR CITY, Utah — From beginning to end, there was no doubt. The Flippin’ Birds took down Utah State in convincing fashion, 196.600-193.425. In all four individual rotations, the Thunderbirds came out on top. Three of the four saw the Flippin’ Birds score above 49. In the one event in which they failed to do so; bars, SUU had a 48.950. The overall score of 49.425 on the Floor was the best for the team in the season.

Individual Highlights

The bars continued to show to be the weak spot of this Flippin’ Birds team. However, Shylen Murakami came to save the day with an impressive 9.925. That score was the highest on the year for SUU in bars and was one of four 9.925 individual scores overall in the meet for the Flippin’ Birds. Ellie Cacciola got 9.925 on the beam while Rachel Smith and Carley McClain cashed in that score on the floor.
