Fremont Silverwolves
2024 record: (8-4) (4-1)
Head coach: Nate Tuatagaloa
The Fremont Silverwolves achieved a remarkable turnaround last season under first-year Head Coach Nate Tuatagaloa, finishing with an overall record of 8-4 and sharing the Co-Region 1 Championship. After starting the season 0-2, the Silverwolves rallied to win eight of their last ten games, making it to the state quarterfinals. Their season concluded with a 56-36 loss to Lone Peak, but there is optimism for the future as the Silverwolves transition into the newly realigned Region 5 within the 5A classification.
The most significant improvement was on the offensive end, which saw the Silverwolves go from scoring 13.6 points per game in 2023 to 30 points per game last season. Senior quarterback Manase Tuatagaloa played a crucial role in this offensive surge, passing for 2,502 yards and 27 touchdowns. Senior Salesi Moa was the team’s leading receiver, recording 58 receptions, 800 yards, and 10 touchdowns.
“I am very excited for this year under my pops,” Manase Tuatagaloa said. “Everyone on offense already knew the plays, so we were able to move on to more plays quicker than any other year. Having Calvin Cooper healthy this year is a very good thing for the offense. I can’t tell you much, but we have big things coming with a one-two punch.
Defensively, replacing the team’s top four tacklers will be a challenge, but the Silverwolves established depth and will have a defense that will compete.

Manase Tuatagaloa
Quarterback/running backs
Tuatagaloa is the more experienced quarterback for the Silverwolves entering the season. Still, Cooper stepped in for the Silverwolves’ two playoff games and provided another element to the offense. Cooper was out with an injury for most of the season, but Tuatagaloa and senior Slade Parker give Coach Tuatagaloa different options to keep teams off balance.
The lead ball carrier for the Silverwolves will be senior Cade Hadley. Hadley rushed for a team that led 411 yards and eight touchdowns last year. Senior Taylor Graham is ready to be another back to get carries and keep the offense moving.
Wide receivers/tight ends
Fremont’s aerial attack will be anchored by none other than Moa, a four-star recruit and Utah’s top-ranked prospect according to 247Sports. Recently committed to the University of Tennessee, Moa brings elite size, speed, and athleticism, making him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. Expect the Silverwolves to feature him heavily in the red zone and dial up big-play opportunities whenever he’s on the field.
Parker adds another layer of explosiveness to the receiving corps. He tallied five touchdowns and 304 receiving yards last season, and his versatility will be on full display again this year. Both Moa and Parker are expected to play both sides of the ball, serving as key leaders in Fremont’s secondary as well.
At tight end, senior Dean Hall steps into the spotlight. With a strong offseason under his belt, Hall is poised to make the most of his opportunity and add a physical presence to the Silverwolves’ passing game.

Cooper Allen
Offensive/defensive line
Fremont’s success this season will start in the trenches, where the Silverwolves boast a physical and athletic group on both sides of the ball. The offensive line will be anchored by senior captain Cooper Allen, whose leadership and toughness set the tone. He’ll be joined by junior Cooper Tumanuvao, forming a formidable duo that gives Fremont a strong foundation up front.
Supporting them is a deep and talented rotation that includes seniors Julian Vega and Joshua Summerill, juniors Kason Dabb and Lincoln Frost, and rising sophomore Ashton Dixon. Together, this group combines experience, size, and mobility, key ingredients for controlling the line of scrimmage and opening lanes for the run game.
Junior Jakson Masters returns to lead the Silverwolves’ defensive front after a breakout 2024 season. With 34 tackles and a team-high four sacks, Masters earned Second Team All-Region honors and enters 2025 determined to be an even greater disruptive force in the trenches. His motor, technique, and leadership will be key as Fremont faces a tough non-region slate early in the season.
Players to watch on the defensive line will be Manase Tautagaloa, Brexton Christensen, Lincoln Hess, and Kyle Herrin. The Silverwolves’ attitude and playing for each other’s mentality will be tested early with a demanding non-region schedule, and the defensive front will be tone setters from the beginning.
“What clicked for us was the 2 years prior we didn’t have the best seasons,” Parker said. “We didn’t believe in ourselves. After we gained confidence in our team, the most important thing was that we rolled with it and continued to build on it. We started believing in the person next to us to make the play, and our team chemistry was amazing. After the loss to Roy in week two, us varsity players met the day after before film and we all talked to each other and talked about the things we needed to change for each other, and it continued to show throughout the season.”

Jakson Masters
Linebackers/defensive backs
The Fremont Silverwolves enter the 2025 season with a linebacker group that’s youthful but brimming with athleticism and upside. Seniors Ryker Shepherd, Jase Friedel, and Cole Walton bring leadership and grit. At the same time, juniors Titan Jordan and Kruize Freeman, along with sophomore standout Aisa Tuatagaloa, are poised to step into bigger roles. Despite their age, this unit is determined to uphold Fremont’s tradition of producing elite linebackers.
In the secondary, the Silverwolves may boast their most complete and dangerous unit. Senior safeties Moa and Parker are cerebral players with elite football IQs, consistently putting teammates in the correct position and anchoring the defense with confidence. Cornerbacks Mathis Bell and Triston Mann are expected to take significant strides this season, with both showing flashes of playmaking ability and lockdown coverage.
Parker, who led the team with four interceptions last season, and Moa, who added two picks of his own, have both had standout offseasons. Coaches expect their production to rise as they take on being team captains and elevate the entire secondary.
“We have the no-fear mentality, we’re not scared to hit, and we’re not scared to make a play on the ball,” Parker said. “Each of us believes in one another. Coach Ben (Moa) always preaches that we’re the best, but we have to act like it to play like it.”
Several Fremont Silverwolves are expected to make an impact on both sides of the ball this season. Senior standouts Taggart Burton, Kamden Murphy, and Joseph Gallardo will showcase their versatility at wide receiver and defensive back. Juniors Gabe Martinez and Landon Palmer are also poised to contribute in key roles. Among the younger talent turning heads this summer are sophomores Aokuso Selevae and Ryan Connell, along with promising freshman RJ Fonoti, each showing early signs of breakout potential.

Salesi Moa
Special teams
Senior Cam Graves returns as the kickoff specialist and punter for the Silverwolves. Senior Jordan Larkin is back and will handle the field goal and extra point duties to give the Silverwolves a solid combination of experienced kickers.
Moa and Parker have the most experience returning kicks and will share those duties.
