Utah Jazz become 2-0 in Las Vegas Summer League with a win over Dallas

The Jazz fended off the Dallas Mavericks in their second game of the 10-day Las Vegas Summer League, winning 83-82 and improving to 2-0.

7’6’’ center Tacko Fall seemed to have the most impact on the game. He led the Jazz with 12 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks. Fall’s size allows him to reach over players at the rim and be a threat in the paint offensively and defensively.

Right behind Fall was newly signed UCLA forward Johnny Juzang who had 11 points and five rebounds. This was Juzang’s second game with the Jazz. Juzang missed the first three games of the Salt Lake City Summer League due to possible head injuries from a recent car accident.

Jared Butler was a silent difference maker in the game. He showed his sharp passing abilities and decision-making skills with 10 assists, despite shooting 3-22 for field goal attempts and 0-10 from the three.

In their first game Saturday night against the Atlanta Hawks, the Jazz won 72-66 with Butler leading the team and putting up 15 points, seven assists, and two steals.

Looking to continue their winning streak in Vegas, the Jazz will face the Toronto Raptors Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion.
