The Utah Jazz (31-31) takes on the San Antonio Spurs (14-47) as they look for the sweep at home and extend the losing streak to 17 games.
What to Look For
With these teams recently facing each other on Saturday, not too many adjustments can be made. With the great Gregg Popovich as the coach of San Antonio, he’ll probably have a trick or two up his sleeve to give his team an advantage. Though San Antonio shot 29/63 (46%) within the perimeter last game, they were just outscored 62-58 in the paint. Utah also managed to commit 14 turnovers to San Antonio’s nine. Though he fouled out of their last meeting, Zach Collins was the only player for San Antonio to finish the game with a positive plus/minus (+6). Collins continued to bring pressure in the paint and was able to stretch the floor shooting 3/6 (50%) from the perimeter.
Key of the Game
Depth on the bench will set these teams apart. In their last meeting, Utah’s bench outscored San Antonio’s bench 52-23. With players like Ochai Agbaji, Kris Dunn, and Simone Fontecchio all scoring double figures off the bench, San Antonio needs to put some emphasis on the secondary unit. Devonte’ Graham will need to bring his secondary unit together to take defensive pressure off himself after going 10/4/4 while shooting 3/11 (27.3%) last game.
Injury Report
San Antonio- Khem Birch: Out (knee), Tre Jones: Out (foot), Romeo Langford: Out (thigh), Isaiah Roby: Out (ankle), Devin Vassell: Out (knee)
Utah- Jordan Clarkson: Out (hand), Collin Sexton: Out (hamstring)
